• A Family With a Heart for Elders

• Our love for elder care began long before Harbor View Adult Family Home existed. As children, we spent every weekend visiting seniors at church, offering companionship and helping with small tasks. Those early experiences shaped our hearts and inspired a lifelong commitment to serving older adults with compassion and dignity.

• Years later, we decided to turn that calling into something truly meaningful. We purchased this home, poured our energy, time, and love into it, and transformed it into a warm and beautiful sanctuary for seniors — a place where care feels personal, and life feels peaceful.

 

 

Our Home & Location

• Harbor View Adult Family Home is nestled in a scenic residential neighborhood near Dash Point State Park, on the northeast edge of Tacoma, Washington. Our location is ideal — close to Federal Way, and only a short drive from downtown Tacoma’s hospitals, shopping centers, museums, and Theater District via WA-509.

• The home is fully remodeled and designed for comfort, safety, and beauty.

• We provide 24/7 care for up to six residents, allowing for individualized attention in a quiet, intimate environment.

• Every day begins with birdsong and ends with breathtaking sunsets over Puget Sound. Private, spacious bedrooms include half baths, and our master suite offers a full shower for added convenience.

• The second-floor patio features peaceful sitting areas with panoramic views of Puget Sound, while our elevated dining area is surrounded by large windows that showcase the same stunning scenery.

 

A Home Filled With Life, Music, and Joy

• Music is a big part of who we are. Our living room has a piano available anytime, and you can even find one of our family performances on YouTube (Beethoven’s “Für Elise” by Iulia Bularu).

• We offer a variety of engaging activities tailored to our residents’ abilities and interests, including:

• Gentle exercises

• Indoor golf

• Music therapy

• Bingo

• Puzzle time

• Gardening

• Drawing & creative hobbies

• Cooking activities

• We believe a good day starts with a healthy breakfast and shared activities that bring people together. Emma is an excellent cook who prepares a wide variety of delicious meals — and she’s always happy to make a resident’s favorite dish.
